The fall picnic was well attended this year with more than 60 members and guests enjoying great weather, delicious barbeque and covered dishes.

| October 2011 Community Hike (15 photos)

The Trails Committee held its inaugural hike on October 16, a beautiful sunny day with a slight breeze and trees at peak color. Twenty seven people (and four dogs) gathered at Lake George at 2:00, and set off soon thereafter. Larry Hicks led the hikers up Wild Cherry to Woodpecker Lane and onto a logging trail that ended at Mike and Betsy Fritz’ house. The crowd posed for pictures at the huge rock in front of their house and then headed back to Lake George. After the three mile round trip, the hikers arrived back at Lake George where Larry Anson had the charcoal glowing white-hot for chicken, sausages, hamburgers and hot dogs. The group enjoyed the food and drink they brought, including cole slaw, baked beans, pineapple casserole and brownies.
